Was the telecaster Keith was using in 1972 Olympic white or blonde ? Hard to tell from photos. If anyone knows please let me know. Thanks.

Early Broadcasters, Nocasters and Tele's where buttersotch blonde that after some time went darker, to sometimes even turn into a dark mustard colour.

Starting from mid '54 the blond body finish has a more whitish look than the butterscotch finish, as the type of clear lacquer used to clearcoat does not yellow as much, giving mid-1954 and later Teles a more whitish blond look.

For me the colour of Micawbre has always placed it as being a mid-54 Tele, but according to people in-the-know it's a '53.
