Charlie at Dingwalls

Continuing my stroll down Memory Lane, did anyone here go and see Charlie playing at Dingwalls in London in the late '70s or thereabouts?

I remember seeing a small ad in the Melody Maker about the anniversary of Boogie Woogie. Bob Hall and George Green were going to be playing with, amongst others, Charlie Watts. This, as far as I know, was the first appearance of Rocket 88.

Ian Stewart was definitely there also. I think he did play but not much.

They blew the roof off Dingwalls.

If anyone else has any memories or corrections to this post, I'd love to read them.

Ah, Dingwalls, one of my favorite spots in London. went there last spring, sat on their roof (it´s back since Charlie blew it off, it seems smiling smiley ) drinking beer with some of the other vikings. We we´re in London for the premiere of SAL and spring had just arrived....
