Not a great voice as such but it lends itself to their music perfectly and it's difficult to imagine Suede without that wailing, pitch-changing voice.

'Everything Will Flow' is a brilliantly produced piece of work (imo).

Was looking for another thread and saw this. Their first album is excellent I think. Back then, what, 1993?, it was a breath of fresh air I thought. Then whatsisface got a big ego, the guitar player. Downhill from there. The second album bout put me to sleep and I gave up.

Live on the first couple of tours they were the future of rock n roll, then Butler quit, I saw them twice early on, superb, then a longggggggggg decline into the abyss

Yeah, he's carved out a tidy little career as a producer since he left Suede. His stint in the duo, Mcalmont and Butler, also yielded a few excellent tunes.
