Yesterday I was in Jena and to say that first - it was a great show.
F-Haus is a very small location in Jena (Club atmosphere) with a small stage, I think round about 400 people were there (max. 450), mostly aged over 40, so I was in good company.
Mick T. was in good shape (sometimes he did even a little bit of slow "dancing" - I also think he lost weight) and he was really in a good mood. He spoke a lot between he songs and the audiance was also fantastic, which made him fun too.
I cannot not remember the whole set (have no setlist), but he played:
- Secret Affair
- Twisted Sister
- Losing My Faith
- Alabama
- Leatherjacket (Instrumental Jam with some Satisfaction riffs)
- You shooked me
- Another Instrumental Jam with riffs from Can't you hear me knocking (and sometimes it sounded also like Brown Sugar)
- No expectations (he said that Beggars Banquet is his all time favourite album, although he did not play on it)
He played ~2 hours without a break.
The jams were unusual to me, but at all he and the whole band played excellent (I know that some other iorr'ians have a different opinion, but believe me he played much better than on the Munich and Aarburg videos).
Two times he left the stage to let Danny Newman (guitar) and Michael Bailey (bass) singing (yes, Kuma Harata was'nt there) to use the time to change the shirt and possibly have a cigarette (since last year in german pubs, resaurants and concert halls etc. smoking is forbidden, only in separete rooms or outside it is allowed).
After the show he gave lots of autographs (min. 30 minutes), also the whole band was there.
So a nice evening and a great show.
