Why do you NEED to know what's gonna happen months and years from now? I don't even know what I'm gonna have for dinner tonight, and I'm perfectly at peace with that.

I think unlike Jesus the Plexiglass will actually still be realistic and in reality.

You mean you don't know what you'll be having for breakfast on 15th September 2010 ? This cannot be ? How can you possibly function without such basic structure and order in your life ? Why ... I even know what colour socks I'll be wearing on that day !!

I don't really care if the stones tour on not. Don't get me wrong I've seen them many times since the comback Steel wheels tour (and before). I've been lucky to see club shows and have had fantastic times travelling all over the place to see them. I just don't think they owe us anything or need to prove anything. Maybe it's time to get off of this bus?????????

If they announce a tour, then you will know. Otherwise, yeah, get on with your life. Right? It's not that important - because YOU have nothing to do with it. Besides, you gotta laugh at being told to get on with your life. I think that's funny. It's not like you're some Zeppelin fan waiting for the impossible.

It's the classic chicken/egg question. For the Stones, it is like making a baby. Firt you have to make it, then it takes nine months. Then you have a baby. The baby is the new album and the new album means something to tour. Until they go into studio I would relax. I don't think they will make a 50 licks compilation album, but you never know.

at 7 years it was by far the longest stretch they had not been on tour. plus, there had been keith and mick solo ventures and tours in the interim and a very public feud between the two...keith himself had publicly voiced doubts that the stones would ever return to the studio or road again.

The longest tour stretch (by far) = "comeback". It's that simple. Eigth years in the USA was sooooooooooo long. Before that it was always 3 so this was nearly TRIPLE the time span.

I rather see a new studio album, then mabe a short burst tour to promote.
I cant see anymore 2 year jounts around the world.
I dont want to see another greatest hits tour.
2009 is not the best year for touring with the current climate
I would think they would record a new album in the autumn of this year, and
go on the road next year.

Sure it was. Anything better than the crap they put out in the 80's was a comeback.

If they tour...expect more of the same in every category.

2009 continue to enjoy the good life, new CD 2010, 50 licks tour beginning 2011 (their 50th year) into 2012 their 50th anniversary. (sticking with my prediction from over a year ago - I have to be right about something sometime)
