Bill said they went through a record number of tapes - 400 some rolls of tape.

What is the average lenght of a reel on one side? 30 to 40 mins? I know that was the recording time in the early 70's - don't know bout mid 80's..anybody?

Just wondering how many hours of outtakes exist?

I can't remember. I've recorded tape but I can't recall the length since I was recording and not actually working WITH the tape. I think it was an average of four songs, approximately 5 minutes long heads and tails for each song, chit chat, anything kind of interesting or funny included before and after the takes. So that would be roughly...I guess 30 minutes per reel. I recall it was a little expensive ha ha.

What's The Matter

interesting about the last two. i wonder if they are 85 versions of DG and What's The Matter? or are they the SG/ER outtakes added to pad out the boot?

Marhsall, the track 'Are You Lonely For Me Baby' isn't a Keith original
It's written by Bert Berns and recorded by Freddie Scott
...and it is most excellent btw

The latter.

Thx! too bad they didn't re-visit them though, DG in particular had a nice riff and some potential.

I dont remember seeing all of those listed. And even if - many of those are probably vague attempts; or maybe a chord change reminds someone who is close to a vocal mike of a past song. E.g "Splish Splash" or the Supremes song..

Sorry bout miscrediting Keith w/ are you lonely... just going by credits listed, that was my fault...

Also Palace Revolution 2000 This list came from Wyman's Rolling w/ the Stones.

Yeah I do get your point.... I can see it being a 20 second knock off as a joke but I sure as hell don't see them saying "take 20" on that! lol..let alone a full take
