we're not allowed to listen to anything streaming at work anymore - but I chanced it for this - maybe I wasn't listening as attentively as I should have been due to fear.

In my profession, I find that the fear of getting caught is what makes online videos so good.

It's good. But I didn;'t see anything overwhelmingly awesome in that clip. Pretty standard promo to me.

Is "Stones In Exile" an extended version of the Bonus DVD that will be released with the extra deluxe EOMS?
Or do they have both some exclusive footage for each release?
If all of the Bonus DVD is also on Stones In Exile, I don't see a point, unless for the book, to buy the extra deluxe version.

Do I hear Ronnie at 0.46?! Strange to hear him in a axile docu...

It sounds as Ronnie's voice ,yes .
BTW,I would have thought Anita would have a more hoarse voice due to cigarettes & alcohol ...or am I mistaken with Marianne's voice ?

Just great footage. It looks so cool. Can not believe that still the see pics show up: Bobby and Jim in the hallway; different versions of Keith with LP sitting on chair in tongue shirt;. But some footage is not from those times; like the hand son amps etc.

Some voice neither. Typical Stones: unreliable, just like their credits and stories. A nice trailer anyway.

considering that the 'Stones in Exile' bit on the deluxe package dvd is reportedly just 10 minutes (plus 10 of L&G, and 10 from CS blues), and this trailer says "coming in June" as a new release, it's got to have way more to it than what's on the deluxe dvd sampler. Unless they fill it out with some more live '72 footage (non-L&G), I can't see many folks getting a 30-60 minute dvd w/ just interviews and stills. If this was going to be paired w/ a release of L&G, it would have said so, no?

...if you read the descriptions on "[exileonmainst.shop.bravadousa.com]; it states [[and a DVD containing exerpts from the documentary Stones In Exile, the legendary @#$%& Blues (filmed on the Stones 1972 tour of Exile) and Ladies and Gentlemen]]

...now my question is, will "stones in exile" the full length feature have what is mentioned in the second half of the above statement [[the legendary @#$%& Blues (filmed on the Stones 1972 tour of Exile) and Ladies and Gentlemen]]

...does anyone know how many pages Bob Gruen's "1972 North American Tour Book" is going to be?

...hell i don't know what to do

Way better than the PMS video!
Agree, eventhough I loved the PMS video this captured the spirit of the time better I think. Its something with not letting the format/style of the video take too much space - here I felt the images were left to breath more.
Both being a perfect start to a perfect summer of course!

Well, we all know:
The trailers are often the best of a film . .

But nahh, it's great and exciting. That was my favourite Stones "time".

Unfortunately there seems to be no or only very little film material from the Nellcote sessions. Mostly stills.

But ofcourse I'll get it!!

You´re right,Cousin - often enough it´s just the "appetizer" with lacking
substance watching the whole later.

Let´s hope it´s different in this case, some elements really seems promising
( interesting the LA and Hyde Park sequences show up as well...).

And hopefully the promised bonus material added to the DVD release is
interesting and of good quality ...

To be honest,I´m looking as forward to this release and the following L&G as to the Exile remaster.

Me too !!! All great Stones stuff!

It's probably been posted, but I haven't seen it. smiling smiley

And I say DANG, look at all that footage! Looks gorgeous! There seems to be plenty of stuff from Nellcote. And the concert footage is just amazing in quality. I can't believe the people who thinks the bootleg versions of Ladies & Gentlemen is good enough.

This was more pleasing to watch than that Plundered My Soul video, after all.

The only negative thing I can think of is that we're all gonna say GIVE US MORE IT's NOT ENOUGH when we've seen this DVD. smiling smiley

" Stones in Exile

Catalogue No: EREDV786
by Rolling Stones
Barcode: 5034504978676

DVD | Release: 14/06/2010

In the spring of 1971 the Rolling Stones departed the UK to take up residence in France as tax exiles. Keith Richards settled at a villa called Nellcôte in Villefranche-sur-Mer and this became the venue for the recording of much of the band’s masterpiece “Exile On Main Street”. “Stones In Exile” tells the story in the band’s own words and through extensive archive footage of their time away from England and the creation of this extraordinary double album, which many regard as the Rolling Stones’ finest achievement. Bonus Features: Extensive additional footage including interviews with all the band members, footage from “@#$%& Blues” and Mick Jagger and Charlie Watts returning to Olympic Studios and Jagger’s country house Stargroves where a lot of the early work on the album was done. "

Some more details would be very welcome....
