50% chance Shane will show up, 0% chance he'll be sober.

not true on the former. 100% chance now - it's in the contract. he never misses a gig anymore - and, yeah, he's loaded, as are all the patrons and we all sing our little hearts out and it's great craic.

Saw the Pogues (w/Shane) a couple years ago in Boston and it was brilliant. Really good time. He messed up a half dozen songs, kept introducing the wrong tune, etc, but man, I've always loved the Pogues and their energy, and Shane. He's in the "Well, I'm not dead yet, so I might as well carry on" category. Get out and see the Pogues while they are still performing w/ Shane.

could not agree more with you. i've seen them multiple times the past 3 years - and they still put on one helluva show.

I was at the first ever Pogues gig at the Pindar Of Wakefield pub in Kings Cross, about 40 in the pub. We all decamped to a nearby flay for copious amounts of alchol.

Now who was the Pogues road manager who worked for the stones, an irish bloke. passed away about 15 yrs ago. ????

Oh still worth seeing today, the know they can only get so much out of Shane and pace the show accordingly. a few intrumental and Spider, Terry & Phil taking some lead vocals.

Hi folks! Very funny, this is my first post here and it has nothing to do with the stones, but that are big news for me: I CANT´T BELIEVE IT! I´m a fan for 20 years but I never saw the POGUES live, this will change on 31.7. in Muenster, see ya!
