Looks like I'm going to be unpopular, but it sounds pretty poor to me....deffo a filler track and not worthy of a place on Exile...hopefully it will grow on me but fairly weak imho

well, mixed emotions. the song is kinda cool, but the sound...ah man. is that another don was crime?

imho it proves the Exile reissue took a bad turn from the start;

- the extra cd should have been two or three
- they should have contained working versions of the EOMS songs and not new songs, which can only be weak and not warrant a comparison with the 18 we know.

Musically sounds good especially Taylor's guitar. jagger's vocals are a bit over the top though.

I love it - but the old man singing the lead and pretending that those 38 years never happened - that just doesn't do for me... But the backing track grooves nicely, the EXILE feeling, and I feel sentimantal when I see those names written to record sleeve;bass: Bill Wyman, guitar; Mick Taylor...

But give me some more! God I love this band.

Very cool open g!!!!!!! Thanks! More of a good thing. It sounds good, Mick is giving it all he can. Think of it like Tattoo You, taking some old and mixing with the new. A nice way to bridge the past with the present.

according to Uncut Charlie said that this, Following the River and Sophia Loren previously only existed as instrumentals.

2009 vocal? That's not a 2009 vocal. EVERYTHING you hear on this track was recorded in 1971. And wasn't it nice of Mick to have invited his GRANDFATHER into the studio to do the singing?

Survivor and ADTL, The new Mick doesnt seem to be able to ape the old Mick so well.

Sounds like a current Mick vocal. Wow, the mix musically is fantastic! But yeah, the vocal is way too in front.

REGARDLESS, it still sounds pretty @#$%& good though! I still like the idea that, whether it's as great as anything on Exile or not, that we get to listen to something in the highest quality possible that we haven't been able to hear/listen to in the highest possibly quality before. I do hope this bodes well for future projects involving unreleased material - finished or not.

Oh yeah - BRING IT ON! Ha ha. Now that's a worthy snippet (Amazon - I don't have iTunes on this computer), far better than the stupid youtube Exile hype they've done. Why didn't they put Plundered on that instead of Rocks Off? I know it's for the album but it seems that they'd put something 'NEW' on it to ENTICE people to BUY the REISSUE.

Sounds a little trebly and clear (Don Was...) compared to Exile, but it's fine.
Would be really interesting to hear the real truth about the vocals/overdubs, but it does sound like a new lead vocal to me too.
