I'll bet it's only 'loud' like the new remasters.
And I'll bet this guy dosen't even know the terms of 'loudness' anyway.
'Louder' is not the same as 'Loudness'!

I'm wondering at what point we can listen for ourselves? Surely someone will buy the single on the 17th and if none of us can get it ourselves put it online? Or will it be available for Zune or Itune download? Man I'm ready to hear these songs for myself!

Thanks for the story UrbanSteel.

Too bad about the loudness, I don't see what is the point in that at all. It ruins the dynamics.

Going to buy it anyway. Want to support more archive releasesthumbs up

I know it's just one chaps opinion, here, but his descriptions hardly enthral me, to be frank. It all seems rather dull.

>> Maybe it is a promo sampler <<

that makes sense - s/he definitely left some out, such as the one Keith sings

Good to see the songs that no one has heard being slagged off a month early based on taking comments in a review at face value.

Yeah, same thing here... I also don't understand the remark about Beggars Banquet. Fixing the speed (which was OBVIOUSLY and AUDIBLY wrong) was The Right Thing®, dynamic range compression is not.

Personally I have no problem with anything they do on the re-issue. Actually would enjoy listening to a complete re mix if they wanted to do that. I already have all the vinyls and Virgin cds for the original mixes and would appreciate something differant as opposed to re buying the same material I already have.

alladin story, i'm not signifying, dancing in the light are from the trident mixes, apparently with 2010 additions. these tracks weren't much to listen to way back when. don't see how new vocals or additional overdubs will make then any more attractive. what is interesting tho is the fact that these basic tracks are part of ABKCO's holdings....isn't it interesting that as soon as Allen Klein passes away, the world gets a Ya-Ya's reissue with lots of bonuses, an Exile reissue with a CD's worth of Klein material included, the TAMI show, a DVD release of "Ladies & Gentlemen" in the near future...hhhmmmmm.

I always liked the riff of "Dancing In The Light" on bootleg, but its only an instrumental on the version I have, I don't know if a bootleg version with vocals exists. It is one of the "typical" Keith riffs, in my opinion. Good to see this will be one of the released tracks.

The reason for the LOUDNESS is so when the tracks get played on ( already over compressed radio ) the tracks hold up to the current trend of whatever mastering converters they are using today. ie: So it does not sound worse than any other songs played on rock radio today.

Does it seem that at some point all reissues will be remastered to be as loud as possible to be current? When listening to CDs of 1960s, 70s and 80s albums compared to 1990s and these here Twenty Hundreds that there is a huge difference in the volume. But that's on something that is calibrated to only go so loud (my stereo is broke, my truck speakers are fried so all I have is my laptop - hooked up to a second to the top speaker system - with a woofer - for computers - at least that I could find at the time, I've contemplated getting the loudest one available ha ha).

Even playing CDs (media player) through my laptop I can hear a big difference. And it says in the works of the media player there is something to select to keep the sound level "equal" or something there about that...doesn't work anyway.

Someday I'll have a stereo again. Headphones are nice though.

I'll be curious to load the UME Exile in and listen to the difference between that and the Virgin Exile.

Will the new tracks even GET played on the radio? Rough Justice didn't get played on the radio. Not even on classic rock stations.
