Let me rephrase your query :

"I just downloaded a Clapton outtakes disc and there's a rollicking outtake from "no reason to cry" with Eric and Mick Jagger sharing lead vocals on a track called "Carnival to Rio".
All the info says is that some Rolling Stones were present...
Does anyone know about it?
Thanks!"

Answer :
750625B 25th and 30th June: ERIC CLAPTON. New York, Electric Lady Studios.
Producer and sound engineer: unidentified. Incl.
- Carnival To Rio (Eric Clapton)
Line-up: MJ (voc)/KR (gtr)/RW (gtr)/BW (bass)/CW (dr)/Eric Clapton (gtr)/George Terry (gtr)/Billy Preston (keyb)/Dick Sims (keyb)/Carl Radle (bass)/Jamie Oldaker (dr)/Ollie E. Brown (perc)/Yvonne Elliman and Marcy Levy (bvoc)

Note: All in all 10 takes have been recorded. Seven on the 25th and three more on the 30th June.Clapton later released this song under the title Carnival on his No Reason To Cry-album (see 760307A) but used a totally different recording due to contractual problems.

To tell the truth, the released version of 'Carnival' features MJ.
Contractual problems were solved crediting MJ as Mick Turner in the album line-up.

I have a recording of 3 different takes. Not the best song, IMHO.

Never heard or read about Mick Jagger being on No Reason To Cry
(only Chris Jagger is. And of course Ronnie Wood).
Mick Turner as pseudonym for him would make sense, but it's the
name of Eric Clapton's assistant, who was already roadie in Cream.

Isn't Keith the first guitar heard?
and then isn't Keith the first singing voice? or is it Ronnie?

It doesn't sound like Eric singing.

His voice at the time was far higher and dopey sounding.

Who is singing 'Stormy Monday' at the 5 minute point?

Mick Turner has been Clapton's tech for umpteenth years.

Wasn't the long (7 mins or so) version released on an old VGP-title (Eric Clapton with the Stones in NYC '75)?

edit: on "Rolling Stones - Sympathy For Slowhand (DAC-075) (June 22nd 1975)"

Cannot quite see why, since they got rid of Klein in 1970, there would be any "contractural reasons" and the need to remain anon.
