Love his voice, I collect doo wop and this is one artist that I will miss. RIP.

He must have gone downhill extremely quickly considering the fact that he had a concert that was scheduled to happen March 12th at a local theater in my area. Very sad. RIP.

16 Candles was before my time, but I remember Worst That Could Happen being a big hit when I was a kid. I saw him sing it once when he showed up as a surprise guest at a Jimmy Webb concert I was at. Webb started to do it himself and then said something like "I can't sing this song the way it's suposed to be sung. Maybe we better bring someone out here who can do it some justice". Out came Johnny, and he really knocked it out of the park. Very cool.

yes an important voice in doo wop into some great rockin' pop starting circa 50's....Dion's Facebook page includes D's (and fans) comments nicely...

i heard 'step by step' by the crests as a child single digits...it was enormous enoormous hitt....seminal voice at rock's birth and thru many lovely creative manifestations...oh boy the last of our original rock generations survivors going very very fast now... rock on Johnny; yo bronx. thank u bless u...
