BB now on my new ipod. So while doing my 37 hours of gardening this week, it can blow my brains out. Again.

i miss the online excitement of the tour,
arranging to meet up with so many great, kind, friendly,
knowledgable, funny people from this site and others.

I do not miss the stale setlists, or the online fight
for expensive, poor quality seats.

PS : I miss the Marquee, July 12, 1962 show ! smiling smiley

I miss it too. Like an old friend on a long travel.

So it's been first summer for 4 years. Not that bad if you think that in the 70s they usually did not tour once in 3 years and they did not tour for the most part of 80s. They're doing pretty well these days.

There were only three years in the 70s where they didnt tour - 1974, 1977 and 1979.

But youre correct in that we've done pretty well in the last few years to get to see the band so regularly.

they are doing longer tours (2 or 3-year-long) instead of short and frequent like in the past, but I like it too :-)

So the average for this decade is 3 and 1/3 years winking smiley

And altough they did tour in UK in 1971 it was much smaller tour than usually and less people had a chance to see them.

Some weeks ago I thought..."Ough, I need the Stones again!" I'm really looking forward to see them once more. I can't wait!

Every time a Stones tour is over I miss them. You never know if they'll come back.

I miss seeing the stones from the B-stage. I managed to do so a few times the last tour. Always great. But I also don't miss the setlists and the big stadiums.

I even miss the predictable setlists, the expensive floor seats and the news items stating that the four members of Rolling Stones have a combined age of like 500 years. Well, almost anyway.

If the played the very same set list every night I would not mind, and if could be just a few songs only, I would not complain. If they playede the following songs every night I would be fine:

- Satisfaction (opening)
- Gimme Shelter
- Memory Motel
- Not Fade Away
- Out Of Control
- Ruby Tuesday
- Connection (Keith)
- Paint It Black
- Brown Sugar
- Street Fighting Man (12 minutes encore)

Most people would get confused and disapointed 'cause they've never heard of Memory Motel, Out Of Control and Connection.
The Stones are to play for large audiences and not smaller venues for a few loyal fans. Replace 'em with Miss You, Jumpin' Jack Flash and Start Me Up and everybody will be happy and buy more Budweiser.

Unfortunately, you might be right.

I don't care if people go and buy beer during Memory Motel and Connection, but if Mick is bringing back OOC of the 97/98 version then I am sure beer sales will be low during that song. Also, I have to be selfish, I care about myself, this is what I need, nothing more, nothing less, and please don't say I am greedy!
