I've always been curious about this photo. It sure as hell looks like Brian on the left. But that can't be possible if this is 1961, right?

It undoubtedly is Brian on the left, but from 1962. There are other photos of him from that year with his hair like that--and in the photo Mick and Keith already have their beatnik hair.

But that photo at the top of the page, where "Brian" is supposedly working on a rail construction crew--too much hair for 1960 and his physical features don't quite match. He had a somewhat fuller, thicker build than the fellow in that photo, whoever that is.

I really love these old photos. These guys looked so cute and babyfaced.
These photos are a time capsule really, capturing important moments in rock history, especially London's Swingin' 60's era. I just loved that period, very fresh, very exciting. I've read some posters' remarks that My Favorite Mick Taylor Photo, or My Favorite Keith Richards Photo, for example, were stupid threads. I wholeheartedly disagree. They provide countless hours of enjoyment depicting a very colorful and influential period in rock music history..IMO.

Nothing faked or photoshopped about that one! Any hand reversals can be explained by incorrect printing of negatives. (Hard to tell without writing in the background. On Beatle photo's there is a way to tell if it's reversed, but not Stones')

ALO did try to get them into "uniforms" in the same way Epstein had got The Beatles to do (and in fairness just about every other group at the time).

Wyman's version of what happened was that they wore them to one gig, and then after that bits of the uniform were "forgotten" from time to time, until they simply were dropped.

I don't understand why you think these are fake? They've been around since long before Photoshop was invented, and I don't see anything in them that looks fake.

Aren't these from around the time (July 1963) of their first TV appearance on Thank Your Lucky Stars or Ready Steady Go - i'm sure they wore those suits for those (sadly wiped) early TV shows. They then did a Rice Krispies commercial before ALO decided they needed to stop selling-out and become "anti-Beatles" !

As someone pointed out earlier, it was still technically illegal (till 1964 in the UK at least) to be in a pop group and not wear a suit.
The Spotnicks had the best suits no matter what Fab 4 fanatics might claim.

Until at least 1965 it was illegal to take a girl on a date and not wear a tie.
