Well Mick is a rock star and I would'nt say he has carefully crafted his public image. Not nearly as much as Tigger. But yes his indiscretions are well noted. But he seems to be mellowing in his old age.

Next day the Pope is called and

Hell's staff bids him farewell.

On the way up, the Pope meets Tiger Woods coming down

from Heaven and they stop to have a chat. "Sorry about the mix up", apologizes

the Pope. "No problem" replied Tiger

Pope: "I am really anxious to get to

Heaven"

The wait is over. Tiger Woods will be returning at Augusta for The Masters. His statement:

"The Masters is where I won my first major and I view this tournament with great respect. After a long and necessary time away from the game, I feel like I'm ready to start my season at Augusta.

"The major championships have always been a special focus in my career and, as a professional, I think Augusta is where I need to be, even though it's been a while since I last played.

"I have undergone almost two months of inpatient therapy and I am continuing my treatment. Although I'm returning to competition, I still have a lot of work to do in my personal life.

"When I finally got into a position to think about competitive golf again, it became apparent to me that the Masters would be the earliest I could play. I called both Joe Lewis and Arnold Palmer and expressed my regrets for not attending the Tavistock Cup and the Arnold Palmer Invitational. I again want to thank them both for their support and their understanding. Those are fantastic tournaments and I look forward to competing in them again.

"I would also like to thank the Augusta National members and staff for their support. I have deep appreciation for everything that they do to create a wonderful event for the benefit of the game."

My problem with the States is the hypocrisy. Most of the businessmen whose companies have been sponsoring Woods over the years will be having their own little sideshows but have to condemn him for the sake of appearances. .

Usually ,only concerned people dare to give voice....


Never mind ..... Mr Woods' story was on the French news.
What bothers me is the way he is judged .

How comes the sponsors condem him and ,in the same time, some American company -I can't name it because of the board's rules -make profits/benefits with the "effigy girlfriend" on golf balls.
I am sure you have already seen the ad....

Yes,I call it hypocrisy.Mr Woods is a public & a sportsman,what is the link with his private life ???



Here in France, we don't get involved in the personal life of "our" audience .....unless the people allow it .
And now "we" are getting into it most frequently .



I am a Frenchie ,as Mick affectionately called them in the Old Grey Whistle Test in 1977 .

.....the link is that from now on under the word hypocrite lies the picture of Tiger Woods......no matter how his Public Relations guru's try to spin it.
