Driving around this morning got Beast Of Burden on my radio for my first Stones song of 08..

I'd have to play one myself if I want to hear one.
The commercial stations in my area absolutely suck!

i was doing a live on air new years party, and spun jumping jack flash to welcome 2008... and spun sway about 45minutes later!

I settled for playing Harlem Shuffle, IORR, Angie and Tumblin Dice which just happened to be on my CD player.

A friend attending the Rose Parade in Pasadena sent a text message early this morning to say that Mick and Bowie's cover of "Dancing in the Streets" was played by one of the floats in the parade.

Not sure if I would have wanted that song to be the first time I heard Mick's voice in a brand-new year.

So I'm still waiting for the year's first bona fide Stones song.

I had to think hard... my cellphone was silent, so no Happy shortly after 12.00. The first music I played today was Joe Cocker, Mad Dogs etc, featuring a J/R composition of course, but that does not really count. I also saw Uptight on youtube, the Stevie/Stones medley with satisfaction, but I did not watch it hrough (this time).

So, the first Stones song of this year must have been It Won't Take Long, because of the thread of course. Not bad, not bad at all!
