An echo......a shadow

After watching/listening to some early 80's stuff, it is clear that what we are watching now is a mere echo of their greatness.

maybe, but they're still the best by far.

Alas, I saw last link was way too short.
Therefore another Rambler-snippet, this time from Budapest

..And the singalong goes on here, in Barcelona

It's been said that some folks tend to get depressed during the holiday season -- lynn1 just proved it.

Whenever I start to feel doubts about the modern-day Stones, I just play the video of Midnight Rambler from Saitama 2006. That's a good way to get your faith restored.

oh i like the band right now in many many ways. still excites me...

but as long as we're talking about echoes...the 80's were a echo offa this...haa...and round and round and round we go...

adtl, '72 texas...screaming bunch of noise i tell ya...
dig the slick horns...jagger's voice all raw and scratchy, almost painful...but he's pushing it anyway...making up a lot of the lyrics as he goes along; especially toward the end...just being IN it...wild...
just another night in the life of the fabulous Rolling Stones.

yeh love it.
also spending an awful lot of time with various '78 and some other '81 stuff lately. thanks to Erik Snow for really showing me how great these particular ronnie periods with the band are...listening all the time to that stuff now, much as i love taylor and brian, some of this stuff is so precious and wild...
and again, similarly to eoms tour...i don't think it ever got documented properly on an official release...certianly not 'love you live' imo...
lstnt movie certain not nearly as good as a lot of boots from that general era. isn't that fair to say?

Yes that's fair to say, Beelyboy -
BUT, LSTNT is taken from 3 awesome concerts; first half comes from Phoenix Dec 13th, while the 2nd half is devided between Phoenix and East Rutherford Nov 5th/6th. And I think you're familiar with the Nov 5th show; so - it's the editing that takes away some of the fun - not Rolling Stones performance
