I think, from what I have seen, that Steel Wheels tour was one of the best.Look how solid Keith is.It's the total opposite from the Keith I saw in Rome especially on SFTD while I enjoyed the whole show.He seems like he doesn't care today to touch the guitar.I don't know why.
wow - crazy impressive. he had those moments on the last tour...his solos during satisfaction in san diego and chicago '05 were mind-blowing. can anyone think of some specific others?
What happened? A couple of days ago, I posted a fairly long message in this topic, which basically said that I`ve seen Keith do better. Now it`s gone. Is Bjnornulf going for a stalinistic regime or is it just a compouter error?

i honestly think those first twenty years were crazy imperssive...
then imo, it all seemed kinda semi phoned-in for awhile, then on licks he really seemed so killer snappy for the most part; i'll listen for san diego and chicago leg of abb, ty.
as to 'on fire'; i've hoid he was born in a cross fIRE hurricane... so maybe that's part of it...
enjoyed the clip; TY!! they had that "ESP" guitar fetish for awhile there eh? or were those "Musicman gits? i think those are white ESP's... both of 'em with the same model even it looks like... sounded good; good guitars i think. wonder what mathijs thinks of 'em...
dunno why they got SO into 'em and they kinda seemed to totally drop 'em... of if the company still makes 'em...
mathijs, if u get to this thread, wassup with ESP's in general, and in relation to the keith/ronnie arsenal?...ty.

open-g or schillid or someone can you please photoshop a photo of Keith actually "on fire in 89." The title to this thread just screams for sarcasm and yet I can't deliver......
It was the Musicman Silhouette that Keith got into at that time. He was really impressed by the compactness and performance [joked that it "made him look bigger on stage" ] said that the design "could be a classic"...and then stopped playing them. Don't know how much of it was just a fad [guitar [players go throuh phases of being in love with different guitars] or whether any of it is to do with Keith's subsequently soured relationship with Ernie Ball. [EB took over Musicman] I don't know ...not sure how the chronology might fit. Maybe somebody else can throw some light on it ?
FWIW, they're very fine guitars [and still made] but most guitarists have a bit of the luddite in them and revert to the classic Fenders and Gibsons etc in the end ;^)
[I don't believe that Leo Fender and his colleagues had much to do with designing the Strat and the Tele..I think god gave him the blueprints in a vision ;^) ]
