In 1995 (I think) Jagger re-reorded his vocals for So Young (Voodoo Lounge b-side)
The story goes he did 5 more. Hope he didn't erase the original vocals.

Oh well ... it's not the right time for that just yet. Please write new tunes for the next album and leave the ancient outtakes for the Big Boxed Set.

Can you possible think that the 'Stones' would have the inclination or take the time and effort to rake thru old takes and improve the quality and content so that they would be commercially viable.
Many of the songs named would make up a great album and i also really wish that they would listen to thier fanbase and do it.
Mind you when your worth £70 - 150 million who really would care about what a small proportion of their fanbase really wants them to do.
The' Stones' have made very little money from record sales -it's the world tours that have made them multi millionaires.

They could send someone to the vaults and let them pick and polish the chosen few up, like they did with TY, they don´t have to tell that theese would be old songs, rename them...

Not remotely..and whether theyd be 'commercially viable' I would have my doubts about. People may counter with the 'Tattoo you' argument but thats another era -those songs covered a shorter time frame and the days of a new Stones album selling 8 million copies are long gone.

If they released these songs - whether in their original form or in some kind of rerecorded format - the plaudits from their fanbase would be outnumbered by the criticism from other parts of the same fanbase (justifiably in my view) that digging out 20-30 year old leftovers is a sign that they are creatively washed up and devoid of ambition.

I agree with what billwebster says. Put this stuff together in a separate archive project and write new songs instead.

£150 million? Collective worth of the 4 band members wealth was estimated last year at about 4 times that!

theyve sold about 250 million records, so I dont know how that equates to 'very little money' unless they had the shittiest royalty deal imaginable...but youre correct as far as touring (and the spin offs surrounding it) being their primary source of income

As far as I know the Stones have one of the best royalties deal around - after 1970 that is ;-)
