The audience tapes sound like the band and the audience were asleep. Any first hand reports?

ah, thanks for the heads up - this Sunday 30th, 34 years ago I saw my first 2 Stones shows in Frankfurt.
no way the audience was asleep as far as I remember it - and memory is kinda blurry^^
maybe because everyone was smoking huge bongs and the like.
Mick was doing the rope swinging and Keith landed on his ass, right infront of me.

The Frankfurt shows were CRAY-ZEE! I have them both and the energy was insane. Everybody was so 'on' and really ready to have a good time.

Yes those Frankfurt concerts are fantastic, and Munich almost as good. Are you sure the rope-episode didn't take place in 1976, open-g ?

If you were seeing the band for the very first time in 1973 I think you would be rapt, absolutely open mouthed. Nothing like it - ever - had been seen before.

i have been there,in front of the olympic hall
couldnt get a ticket .heard the gig from outside. Got a ticket for Essen--Grugahalle-----then going to the oktoberfest in munich....
