Ladies and gentlemen, both the movie and the music separated from it. Also because of the good sound quality. Leeds is also great, and of course the great boots from 70 and 73 (Brussels afair of course).

There are many excellent ones, but my all-time faves are the usual suspects: Handsome Girls and Brussels/Wembley '73. If I could only keep two Stones boots, these would be the ones.

Because of sentimental reasons I have to say"Stoneaged"(san diego 69) or "Stars In The Sky Nver Lie" and TMOQ maxi-45 "Cops And Robbers" bcause these were the first I bought by mail in 73-74 ($3-LPs, $1-maxi-45 plus 50 cents s/h per ORDER not item!!!) I would come in from school and find those beautiful album sized cardboard mailers, rip them open and smell that great new vinyl with the William Stout or others artwork. Put them on the Sears console stereo and crank it up to 10 before the parents got home. "How come those speakers are rattling?" HA HA!)

I bought Stoneaged and Stars in the sky too and a couple of others (European tour 1970, 'Nicaragua earthquake victims'). Of course I still have them. The LP's were red and yellow, very unusual in Europe. I Was a young student back then and thus poor, but I bought them nevertheless. We called them 'white lp', they were of course illegal but were being sold in a smal, regular LP-shop. I still remember the sensation of putting them on the platter for the first time. Could never imagine that once so much stuff would be available by downloading and burning CD's, even whole films like L & G and Marquee Club 1971 on DVD. That was beyond any fantasy in those days.

RIGHT!!! I forgot about those but I bought the "earthquake" one too! One disc was dark green and the other orange on mine. AndI forgot "Bright Lights Big City" on lime-green vinyl! Those were the days-i would have dreams about going into the Record Store and finding the Stones section rows and rows deep with a neverending selection of covers and songs! Is that obsessing or what? We didnt even really know about videotape then either. We would buy silent 8mm movies that lasted 4 to 8 minutes(of course thats what the porns were on to in those days HA HA)

Yes indeed, Bright lights big city, got it too and some others! And yes, almost every day going to that small recordshop, straight to the Stones section (which was very large those days) and look for a new one. Great joy if you saw a new one and you bought it without knowing how it would sound. Now THAT's nostalgia, not the whole Taylor-Wood question, which is about musicality and ability to transfer emotions by playing not only as a guitarist but as a true musician as well.

Wow, me too! Did you order them off those yellow typewritten lists?

I think mine were white but I think all the places I ordered from were in North Carolina(musta been lax laws!) One place was in Chapel Hill. But,yeah the "catalogs" were typewritten LOL. I still have a "Rock N Roll University" catalog from probably 73. I found it the other day,

I remember sending my mothers Bank Americard number to a place called "Rather Ripped Records" in Cali. I got my ass chewed out a few times but I got some great music! Rock Out-Cock Out was a fave back in the day!

I remember that name but never ordered from them. Did they used to advertise in Rolling Stone(back when they were still a "newspaper" and not People Magazine!)
