Someone should produce a documentary on Billy's life. (Maybe someone already has.)
Between his session work for the Beatles, recording and stage appearances with the Stones, and his solo work, Billy had an amazing career.
And by being a side player in the band who achieved a two-song slot in the middle of the Stones' shows (before even Keith got two songs in the set), Billy achieved something that I don't think any side player for the Stones had done before or since. Even if Jagger stole the stage back at the end of Billy's second song.

When "The Concert for Bangla Desh" film came out the manager used to let me into the theatre any time I wanted for a "Billy fix". Thought his performance in this concert was like...joyful...man!
