In 1998, Pavarotti was scheduled to appear on a TV show, but his doctors kept him from performing. At literally the last minute, Aretha agreed to perform the classic "Nessun Dorma". Here's what happened:

I remember watching that at the time. It was really fantastic. God gave her a truly fantastic gift.
