Always thought of Mick as a Datsun 120Y man, and Keith as a monaro type guy meself.

Reckon it's the same Morgan he's shown driving in May 1969 in England!?

[ecx.images-amazon.com]

Must have been quite startling to see Mick & Marianne in a Morgan stuck in traffic or waiting at a set of lights! grinning smiley

Keith used to hare up and down Richmond Hill in a yellow Ferrari when he was living with Ronnie at the Wick, but I don't know if he was ever photographed in it.

Awww......what an awesome photo !
Morgans are very elegant ,but I prefer more recent ones with shorter & rounded hoods ,like this car of a friend of mine (fun to drive ,but quite strange )

I am a Frenchie ,as Mick affectionately called them in the Old Grey Whistle Test in 1977 .

Seems like the money was grossly mismanaged back then. Perhaps that was a big reason for Mick eventually taking control and his reputation for being so tight with money now.

You reckon ?
Yes, obviously it was time for a new gameplan after they made a narrow escape from bankruptcy. That's why Rupert Loewenstein was brought in (by Jagger) who advised them to form their own companies and have a registered office address in Holland to legally avoid taxes.

In the Rolling Stone interview with Jann Wenner (1993), Jagger is asked to explain why there was a decline in quality of recorded work after Exile. His answer (part of it):
...."Not really concentrating on the creative process, and we had such money problems. We had been so messed around by Allen Klein and the British Revenue. We were really in a very bad way. So we had to move. And it sort of destabilized us a bit."....

As for being a cheapskate, I think he's always been that way. Former student of the London School of Economics who also happens to be a bit of a control freak.

Were Mick's parents at the wedding?

If they were, I don't see them.

Periodically I must put out my favorite Jagger picture.

Jagger with Marianne...

...and with Cher. Out on town, in the disco.

Growing into Ned Kelly.
It does not list any photographers credits in this ancient little mag. But "Designed by Marvin Nudelman & Joe Mauro".

Keith seems to be rolling up a joint European style with tobacco and cigarette cardboard filter.
