I'd like to know what font is used on the "Out Of Our Heads" / "December's Children" albums. Been bugging me for a while...

And what about "Goat's Head Soup"???

Ah ha! I've always wondered such things as well. The fonts of The Cult's albums are available online. I've never seen anything for the Stones (not that they've really ever had any fantastic fonts).

Out Of Our Heads is a serif font search on old serif fonts and you will find some , Goat's Head Soup is a bit difficult as you need some typical charaters to indentfy the font. a,g,t q

Maybe this can help

Just from memory... without checking the albums or any font ID website...
I'll guess some variation of CLARENDON ?

It's probably "Clarendon BLACK" (not shown)... if you look closely at the weight of the strokes. Also look at size of the open shapes inside the letterforms relative to the whole letter, such as the inside of a capital "R".

Any websites to download the fonts
for

Voodoo Lounge and
Bridges to Babylon?

Btw, the Stones made a good job in keeping the tongue their trademark
and changing the font of their name every new album.

Some bands have their name written in the same font for decades.

Bridges To Babylon is handwritten, the characters are different each time.

FYI

Maybe it was just my PC but right after I tried to go to
dafont com above
I started getting tons of errors.

Not sure that caused it but jjust thought I'd mention it.

The Beggars Banquet font has always fascinated me - it's a scroll font - but which one?

cheers

That's excellent Nicos, one last one, what do you think the font on the Rolling Stones first album is, always loved that one - it's sans (without) serif

Cheers

PS I'm a printer and love talking about/using fonts!

I'd like the "Sticky Fingers" font!

Maybe The Rolling Stones first album font is a made up font, by a design house, maybe, it's a beauty though!

The E's are quite modern looking, very striking font, like an Impact or Futura, but it isn't either of those two

Cheers

Wow. Cool. Just what I was looking for. This site seems to have everything you need.
I wonder what the Tattoo You font is.

No, it isn't. Look at the capital "G." It's the closest I'v seen though.

This is the Sticky Fingers font (99% accuracy), but you'll have to create the "stamp look" yourself...

November regular ttf

I'm looking for the Black&Blue font myself. It is very basic, all capitals and often re-used by the Stones' graphics department (e.g. litho posters 2014). Yet it seems difficult to be found among standard font sets.
