I thought the HTW version on Ya Yas had the boulevard of Paris verse in it. This does not.

they didn't overdub a whole verse; it must be edited out of this clip.

On U Tube, It is stated that this version is on the Ya Yas Deluxe Box Set. I haven't had the opportunity to listen to the actual disc. Maybe someone else has?

There are two different versions of HTW on Deluxe I think, one is the classical on CD 1 (Get Yer Ya Ya's out-version), the other is the one on DVD which orginates from a different gig (there were three concerts on 11 27/28, 69). And the version on classical Ya Ya's is not the overdubbed version of the version on DVD. So it seems to me.

I know that, but how do you think it got onto the track? Do you think they brought the whole band into the studio for an extra verse, and somehow that 30 seconds came out to sound exactly like the rest of the album? That's impossible. Overdubbing vocals and even guitar is one thing; rhythm section is another, especially drums. Maybe mick overdubbed those lyrics, but the section of the song needs to have been there in the first place, I think.

Yeah, they didn't overdub a whole verse, they overdubbed the whole song. And it certainly wasn't that particular version of it either.

And it's quite obvious why they would have overdubbed a new vocal.
