I ran into Daryl Jones last night on the steps of.....

The Cathedral Church of St John The Divine in New York City. He had just flown in from his home in Chicago to see Lisa Fisher, who was singing back-up for Sting's A Winter's Night. It was the first of two nights at The Cathedral, one of the largest in the world.

I posted some videos at my you-tube channel www.Dreamtime.tv

Lisa looks great and I love her new Afro!

Daryl is slated to debut as a solo artist on the 21st of December in Chicago. He has invited many of his hometown musician friends and put together a very long set where Daryl will debut at the end as a solo artist and will be singing.

I asked Daryl about the rumours of a Stones tour starting in the summer and all he can say was "I hope so, I'm ready!"

He (and the rest of the backing band) should ALWAYS be ready to tour.

Question is indeed is the rest ready to roll???
Mick....... Yep
Charlie.... Yep, saw him in good shape in Hamburg last oktober
Ron........ I have some doubts about his mental fittness after the clash with Eka
keith...... I have still some doubts if he is fully recovered from the "coconut tree" incident.

How are you and Happy Holidays Little Queenie!

I believe he said the club was "The Wild Hare". He did say it was a reggae club although his gig is not listed. Call this club [www.wildharemusic.com]

Did you see the videos I posted with Lisa? www.Dreamtime.tv

I just wished Daryl woulds have said "they will tour next year, but not with me. They're up to something special this time".

LOL. Add "and with Ronnie's domestic issues, they are bringing back Mick Taylor."

Greetings from the Jersey Shore.

Some people rag on Darryl, but he is as good of a bass player as there is out there, and can play from funk and jazz to rock. Even playing something like Street Fighting Man, the first time I ever heard it played with a great bass line live and in person, was with Darryl playing it in Toronto. With Bill, maybe because he was bored with the Stones by the time I first saw them in 78, it never had that kick.

Ah, that's a magnificent church! Used to be my local church during my days at Columbia university and my friends and I saw many fantastic gospel concerts there.
And yes - Lisa's new look really IS fabulous. She looks so young and beautiful, and she sings like an angel. Looking forward to seing her with the Stones again!
