DiamonDog7 = We agree to disagree. I do really like GHS and IORR. I also enjoy Black and Blue but I really love the Some Girls album. Respectable and When the WHip Comes Down are terriffic songs but I respect your opinion its all in what you personally like.

okeeee... and your point issssssss...? :-))

So what?

No real point, I just thought it was interesting. I haven't really listened to the Stones since Mick Taylor left. Ronnie Wood's guitar technique does nothing for me.

are there really any mick taylor "haters"? even if some prefer ronnie, it doesn't mean they "hate" MT. no one can disparage his work with the stones...

no one should ever hate MT. I hated it when he left the band, but certainly I always liked him.

If MT stayed a Stone, do you think he would today be revered in the same vein as a Jimmy Paige? He's clearly a guitar prodigy, more able that Ronnie, but Ronnie's been able to roll with the Stones.

Asked if you are a Mick Taylor hater? Well--how can you be unless you just couldn't forgive him for quitting...I was very mad and sad that i never got to see him play...My 1st show was 1975.

Anyway no hate just love for what he left behind,.. Great pictures..Thanks.

Guys guys guys, chill, relax... LOL. My little joke ('mick t. haters') was a sarcastic remark. It isn't a topic or something.
In other topics you can see that some members are tired of the whole Mick T. discussion or whatever.

So, let's forget the whole "Mick T. haters" thing, please! :-))

Fantastic pics! Are these taken in at Sunset Sound in LA, Jan/Feb 1972? If so then these are the first pictures I have seen of Taylor during these sessions, and it shows that the session was not a recording session but a photo shoot session.

Anybody knows what effect pedals are on the floor? To the left is a coloursound wah or fuzz, but what's to the right?

Why is it, that there seem to be hardly any pictures where Mick Taylor appears to be having
fun while playing his guitar?
I can appreciate him being concentrated on his playing. Still I have a feeling after all
these pictures that the guy was taking his work too seriously. Should having fun not be
one of the main ambitions of a rock star?

Hi Matthijs,

If you look any further in GettyImages you'll see that's a recording session with the jazz artist Herbie Mann. I've also never seen these pictures before. Really cool indeed! :-))
