question about Brussels affair

Is this boot of a complete show?

THere's several boots with that title.
But the most famous one consists of Heartbreaker and Street Fighting Man from London...plus Brussels.
Star Star from Brussels is only available in audience quality. The best release of Brussels is available on Rocks Off torrent right now. The one called Bunnies, Bombs...etc.
So...it's not complete.

Yes, it's builded up as a complete show. Apart from Star STar which is missing.

<<skip right to tumbling dice; it's a masterpiece.>>

Indeed! My vote for the band's greatest moment on stage.

But one point I recently noticed: At the very end of the song Taylor plays that closing riff 5 times. He connects the 2nd and the 3rd riff with a nice little spontaneous run of notes. Just another lovely Taylor touch that makes him worth the listen. Those notes cannot be heard on Brussels Affair or Royal Sounds Europe '73. They CAN be heard on the 2 disc sets Def. Brussels and Timeless: Europe '73. I have not checked other versions of the "Brussels" songs.

Did you order Definitive Brussels? It has 100 years ago on second disc along with random songs from different shows. Disc one is the normal Brussels cd.

If you don't have Definitive Brussels let me know. I'll post side 2 in Hot Stuff section.

I've just checked....on the VGP Europe 73 you can't hear it. But you can hear it on Nasty Music (VGP 002), which features a completely different mix.
And thanks for the reminder....it's such awesome 2 seconds. Same goes for a part of the last sec before the 3rd verse on Street Fighting Man on GYYYO.

Yesterday I was for work in Brussel and I was thinking of starting an affair but I couldn't find a decent boxspring bed

What about Midnight Rambler? I think that is even better, the best live version of any stones song I've ever heard. IMO

I think I've bust a button on my trousers....

OK, I just got it last night. Many thanks to ChrisM.

Heres whats on it, (In this Order)/

Brown Sugar
Happy
Gimme Shelter
Tumbling Dice
Do Do Do Do
Mr D
Angie
YCAGWYW
HTW
Midnight Rambler
All Down the Line
Rip this Joint
JJF
SFM.

Its Awesome!!

THose notes taylor playes at the end of TD are cool. I remember in a thread a while back someone was saying how Keith wasnt getting along with Mick T during that time, and thoerized that he played really fast on purpose to try and throw Mick T off. I can kind of hear that In MR. It starts off SOO Fast. Angie is a masterpiece. Micks slightly growling vocals, the gitaurs and hammond organ make it really bluesey.

Ah! You got it! Very glad you like it. No Stones fan should be without it!

Re: question about Brussels affair

Absolutely right, every Stones fan should have this one. I just got a copy a few weeks ago as a freebie along with a DVD purchase on Ebay. Fantastic show, Keith was on fire, the guitars were awesome, great setlist. Dancing with Mr. D a real treat! Probably one of the best live shows ever!
JJFlash - it would be much appreciated if you can post Disc 2.

Rockman just posted the cover of the best version of this show IMO. The Halcyon version.

I'll try to squeeze it in tonight.
