Love In Vain - by 1972 solo got complicated, 69 - really simple but powerful slide.
Midnight Rambler - gosh... but I love falsetto shouts in the middle that were perfected in 2002/2003
Little Queenie - only one better Stones version is from middle 80s, Keith solo with Jerry Lee
Carol - like above
You Gotta Move - TOTA's version is cool but that's real acoustic delta blues, ladies and gents
Satisfaction - groovy, crazy, from another world
Sympathy for the Devil - one of the best solos ever and great singing by Mick
HTW & LWM - definitive versions as well
and now:
Jumpin' Jack Flash - best on Rock and Roll Circus
Stray Cat Blues - '70 horn version and studio one ex aequo
Street Fighting Man - 2002/2003 with extended outro, Twickenham!

The BEST version of Satisfaction is from Gimme Shelter (Ya-Yas is almost as good). Taylor and Richards were locked in as never before or after.

Plus the fuzz guitar is spot on. Its just my opinion of course. The Ya Yas is a great version but nothing beats the original!

Nah! There are some great post 69 versions! I love the soul version from Get Yer Leed Lungs out. Very cool. And the few times they did it on the '78 tour was fantastic. Very punk, full of anger.

The '65 version on Ed Sullivan I think is wicked.
Never liked the '69 '70 versions. Why Keith messed with the octave thing has me beat.
The versions they had going during VL and B2B were very good as well.

The 1971 Leeds version is very good, quite another tempo. That's the good thing with Stones - the way they play the songs varies from time to time.

Yeah I love the Leeds version! Very Otis. They were turned on to their own tune in a new way from Otis and pay homage. Very cool!
