This should have been dropped a long time ago, but I doubt its going anywhere since it part of the stage moving out in the middle of the show. This is why I would rather them stick to the basics and can all the effects.

remember most people attending their shows have seen this one not that often. casual fans don't study the setlist in advance! they are happy about every "warhorse"

I never get tire of this song but don't like how it's used for the moving bridge bit.

Maybe even start with it...and give a rough version!!!!

I always cringe when they start that one! BORING, too long, waste of time! They could play 2 great tunes instead of that awful song.

I think it's great! And this tour's version much sounds like the ones on Handsome Girls! Listen to the Saitama show, Ronnie finally plays that nice lead part during "Oh everybody waits so long, Oh baby why you wait so long" again and that really makes the song, imo!

Like I said, BORING!!!!!!Especially on the way out to the B-Stage when you think of all of the FABULOUS Stones tunes that they COULD play in that situation! YIKES! How about The Last Time, or Connection, or Down The Road Apiece, or Not Fade Away!!!

Miss you has been my piss break for all six shows I saw in USA part of the tour.
Why not do Midnight Rambler. The first five minutes on the main stage, and the last 5 coming out to the audience. I think it would kick ass.

or how about a NEVER played before song instead

Re: Time to loose Miss You

It's time to get rid of Miss You but, probably not until after the European tour at the earliest.I just don't see it happening before then.
A positive sign is that it was only played 18 times out of 117 shows on the Licks tour and it wasn't played at all in 1999.This shows that they finally became willing to leave it out.I figure that we were just due for it on this tour.

I won't miss Miss You. Time to take it out of the setlist and maybe replace it with something else from Some Girls like When The Whip Comes Down, Respectable or Beast of Burden. Just my opinion.

Instead of dropping Miss You (yes, i'd miss it), how about putting Bobby back into it? It was awwwwsum during the SW tour.

As for dropping Sympathy and IORR - now that I"m all for!

Miss You is part of a set piece that is carefully choreographed and arranged so that they make it to the B-Stage. I would prefer something else, but I don't think it's gonna happen.

You are absolutely correct. The same goes for Honky Tonk Women this tour. Some fans may be tired of these two songs, but they are both an integral part of the ABB show, and will stay in the setlists for the duration of the tour.

Tired of it ? That's an understatement. I could do without seeing/hearing it live until the Stones are no more.

I noticed that too. It's great. They finally lost the slick Matt Clifford way.

Im glad you said that Lorenz, I think the same thing about this current version of miss you.

and I like Chucks Keyboards on it too for that matter. Esp. during the intro. Its funky/bluesy. the Saitaima version sounds like '78 to me.

Keep Miss You but I'd be very happy if they dropped HTW or IORR from the shows... they are snooze fests. Dare I say it, even BS is a bit boring now.

That said, I guess are more really there for the casual fans, of which there are naturally very large numbers.

It's nonesense that they can't replace Miss You for this reason. How hard is it to play another song and just jam on the end of it until the stage stops moving?

I agree with you. But it hasn't happened since August 21st 2005.
