The 1987 Wino takes with Keith on vocals and the two later Stones
1989 takes with Keith feelin-out the vocals are well worth the search ....mmmmm

never liked that one. hate the production. terrible keyboards and SW was the worst jagger-period (the look, his singing...)i know that many people on this board like this track...that will always be a misery to me....;-) the 80ies just didnt suit the stones!

I also like the video a lot, love the way it's filmed. Very elegant.

Don't see why Almost Hear You Sigh can be considered "underrated"......it's highly appreciated amongs us - can't speak for the 40-licks-fans
I find Keith's version recorded for Talk Is Cheep to be even better - despite of the unfinished lyrics. Together with "Breakin" - it's one of the biggest highlights of any Rolling Stone after Undercover, I think

"that will always be a misery to me."

CLASSIC! I like that.

Had never seen the video, but that has always been my favorite song on that record...a fantastic number. Seeing that video...man, nobody does Keef like Keef...

If only Miles had recorded Birth of the Cool 6 years earlier, I'd have argued it was titled for Keef.

"was the pleasure pain"

Keith's version eh? Very Stones! I can get why he held it over for the Stones.

Looking at Mick's stage outfit at the 1990 Japan show above...how great would it be if they auctioned off some of their retired stagewear, either for charity or otherwise? Mick and I are about the same size, although I'm 5" shorter, ha ha, and that gold silk jacket would be perfect for me.

It's one of my favorite latter-day Stones ballads. It's mature by their standards, which tends to throw off some folks. The fans have a peculiar double standard, in which if the band acts their age, they're slagged. If they go back to their juvenile garage rock ("Rough Justice", for example), they are also slagged. Go figure.

Nice one, skipstone. Sounds like Ronnie is on there too?

Regarding the video - just at the end you get Jagger doing some rather fancy, extravagant moves - then it cuts to Bill and Charlie doing their 'silly twat'smirks -straight from '66-67 - priceless (timeless)
