The Stones did 2 shows at the International Amphitheater in Chicago that tour. There was an afternoon gig down on Halstead Steet and then another concert in the evening. I went to the second show, and in my book the coolest concert ever by the boys. I got hooked for life after seeing them on that tour. Terry Reid and then Chuck Berry opened. Berry brought down the house and was one of the best opening acts ever for the Stones. I got my tickets through a mail order. The Amphitheater hosted many concerts, but was torn down a few a years ago. The exhibition hall was located in the heart of the Chicago Stockyards and the area stunk to high hell from many years of massive livestock slaughter. It was particularly ripe outside the night I saw the Stones, while inside smelled of reefer.
