NEED HELP SHRINKING A DVD

I am trying to burn a DVD on Nero that is larger than a standard blank DVD. I used to use Intervideo and it would transcode the file to fit the standard. Is there a way to do this with Nero? Intervideo will not work for me now as it is a 32 bit program. THANKS FOR ANY HELP

Yes. Nero recognizes the problem and will ask you if you want to "shrink" the file to fit. I assume this is what your previous program did as well. I would think that you would FIRST have to "rip" or down-load the real DVD to your computer as an AVI or other such file. That way when you "add" it to your burn list on Nero it will know, at that point, how large (or overly-large) that file is right then and there.

DVDShrink is perfect. And more, i know it is not legal (so don't do that...), but it works with commercial DVDs and can remove any protections (zone, macrovision).

You don't need anything than Nero. "Nero Recode" is the application you must start. But - there is a lot of other shrinking software...
