I'm sure many people on the board have the gospel album Keith Richards and Blondie Chaplin made for Patricia's brother's congregation...

Yes, I have it.

Its the Year Of The Narrowing, Shrinking and Anti-Expansion Of The Human And The Stonesish Minds.

I have no problem with Bv as a boss here; but I'd sure like a motivation.
My original idea was to follow Rockman's spirit in diggin' up old
Georgia-type gospel songs for the inspiration and benefit of the Stones themselves.
Greetings ....Neve make a Saint...ahh gospel...its great..chain gang...love hope sex and dreams....i think the point is BV wants a family board...a walt disney wthout sex and gospel...those gospel shows(like Aretha Franklin live 1970 LA)i mean its not really my thing im more into blues...but hell!! i cant believe thr deep soul.....the hope

I support disorganized religion.

Not hardly. Didn't Peter Ustinov describe Toronto as "New York run by the Swiss." Plus, we always fold our undies.

I would like to know why my gospel-thread was removed?

I know I started many threads last two days; but I havent
been posting much nor starting any threads for months and months before.

Bv?

Isnt gospel a crucial part of the Rolling Stones music?

Perhaps is a general narrowing of the Stones topic that is steering?
Just want to be enlightened.

This part of the board is a joke thanks to people like you with your OT-threads about hungarian music, gospel and so on...

It's mostly East-Hungarian Music, but I must agree with your post.

Wow - lots of hate going on over here.

I didn't actually read the thread, so I don't know how religious it got...

but I personally think this particular thread is something Mick and Keith would be interested in. They like to discuss music that's real - and gospel is real.

Additionally, i like to know what other Rolling Stones fans thoughts on different types of music. For the most part, we all have the same great taste in music (Rolling Stones whoo hooo) so it's a valued opinion compared to going on a gospel message board and getting the opinion of people that have different taste than we do.

Right Cindy. I'll start the anti-hate movement by saying I like gospel music, I'm a fan of Baboon Bro's posts and I'm perfectly happy to follow bv's rules in bv's house...

The haters will be silenced. Sour grapes.
All this whining.. If just people would post themselves instead of crying like babies.

I´m only blessed with one thread delete...

Seems to be some kinda scandinavian rumble here...and sure Gospel got an
influence on the Stones music,no doubt about.

And criterias,Baboon ?
Simply depends in some cases on Bjornulf´s mood, I think.

I was wondering what happened to my penetrating response to the thread that stated that the Stones were of little value without Brian Jones.

I was driving home early Sunday morning through Bakersfield
Listening to gospel music on the colored radio station
And the preacher said, "You know you always have the
Lord by your side"

I have been diggin out rare stuff in articles and music, hundreds of links.
I have posted my interwiews with Bill.
I have been listing setlists with Mick Taylor.
Ditto Bill.
I have been interviewing Ron Schneider and posted the interviews.
I was the one that discovered Keith musical cooperation with his sister-in-law.
I have been updating dozens and dozens setlists along the ABB tour.
I have reported from the Brno gig in 2007 plus thetravel.
I did link the Juillard PC, the web broadcast links..
Plus many many many other such things.
(I do admit a Hungarian passions; thats also rock and roll,
the lion's share of that material consists of is a band called Hobo Blues band.
They have been doin their Stonesish music since anno dazumal
and they use to cooperate with
Allen Ginsberg and Sugar Blue
and I aint gonna beg anybody any pardon for that!)

I even want to say: I have been the one of the most important parts in the iorr engine for many years. Basta.

You really must be craving for a compliment BohooBro!
Now go on the net and start searching for some Hobo Blues links my friend!

It's Only Rock'n Roll
The Rolling Stones Fan Club
Since 1980 - IORR.org
Welcome to Stonesland! This is the place for hard core fans of The Rolling Stones from all over the world.

From the home page. You will notice that it doesn't say - "only for the people that can contribute little known facts". It's for hard core fans.

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

I´m not sure whether I get your point,Cindy.
Can´t see neccessarily a contradiction
being "hardcore fan" and contributing little known facts...

I think it's a place for fans to show their appreciation as well as discuss the music etc, discuss the band members. Not everyone can have personal knowledge of them the way slasausjes does and it would be a really boring board if only those people posted. Yeah it's great to have them share their knowledge and certainly appreciate it.

I know that I personally like the OT stuff, but for me just because of age, I became a RS fan in the 80's - all my friends were/are into other stuff. I always felt like an outsider. It's nice to come here and be with "my own kind" even if it's not always RS related.
