Get past the purist part of it. Whether it's really The faces or not. Is it really that bad that some good musicians get together for a gig for charity?

The problem is, that with the absence of Rod, and the presence of Bill, this ceases to be a Faces reunion, and instead becomes Three Rolling Stones and a guy who was in the Who. Having Bill there makes it more of a Stones event than a Faces event, which would seem to be defeating the orginal purpose, which was to have a Faces reunion.

I think it's just a rumor, and I don't think that the so called 'reunion' is on. But in anyway, we'll see it in October.

Keep on rollin'

You missed seeing the Stones in '78 and '81.

HELPING THE HEART OF MUSIC - A UNIQUE CELEBRATION

Royal Albert Hall - London

To celebrate its 75th Anniversary and its unique history, the PRS for Music Members Benevolent Fund is proud to present a very special fund-raising concert. Backed by Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings throughout the show, artists will include Jan Akkerman, Melanie C, Paul Carrack, Kiki Dee, Chris Difford, Georgie Fame, Robin Gibb, Mark King and Mike Lindup (Level 42), Martin Taylor, Bill Wyman, Mick Hucknall and some Very Special Guests.

It is their way of giving something back to fellow musicians, songwriters and composers in need, maybe those nearing retirement with limited pensions, those suffering hardship because of illness and families of those experiencing particular difficult times.
A registered charity, the Fund helps and supports musicians, songwriters, composers and their dependents, wherever they are, by awarding grants or loans. It offers a lifeline in times of financial stress and, in doing so, reinforces a very real and, in these days, much needed sense of community.
PRS for Music today has over 60,000 songwriter, composer and music publisher members, collecting and paying royalties to them whenever their music is played, performed or reproduced.

With the rapid growth of the music industry, it is anticipated that in the coming decades its benevolent fund will prove particularly vital for many.
Among those who have in the past publicly acknowledged the financial help received from the
Fund have been bassist Danny Thompson, Mike Smith of the Dave Clark Five, singer Clifford T. Ward, Michael Coleman (who co-wrote “Matchstalk Men and Matchstalk Cats And Dogs”) and “Move It” writer Ian Samwell who became ill in the States - the fund helped with his health care
requirements.
Commenting on its vital role Fund Chairman Ray Davies said:
'Since 1935 we've been caring for members of PRS for Music - songwriters, composers and their families - by providing essential financial help and support wherever and whenever it has been genuinely needed. Now, more than ever, the Fund's resources will be tested and this concert will not only highlight how the songwriting community can support each other but will also raise vital funds for the charity.'
Steve Porter, CEO of PRS for Music said:
'We are proud to be supporting the Fund with this anniversary concert and with the vital and important work they do for our members. The music industry can be a tough business and organisations like the Fund offer real help to those in genuine need.'
