The best unreleased tracks, B J years 1962-69

Recently there´s been topics about what we don´t like of the released material and what we would like to see released from what´s not available to us.

Now, I´d like to know what you think are the best of the (officially) unreleased tracks that are available on bootlegs/mp3´s etc.
I´m talking studio/BBC recordings here (not live), and unreleased songs (not alternate takes/mixes).

These are my favourites from the Brian Jones era (1962-spring 1969):

Road Runner
Honey What´s Wrong
Bright Lights, Big City
Memphis Tennessee
Roll Over beethoven
Wake Up In The Morning (Rice Crispies jingle)
Spector And Pitney Came Too
Andrew´s Blues (@#$%&´ Andrew)
Cops And Robbers
Brian´s Blues (Stewed And Keefed)
Down In The Bottom
Fanny Mae
Get Yourself Together
Title 15 ("Satanic" rock track)
Pay Your Dues
Blood Red Wine
Stuck Out All Alone (Give Me A Hamburger To Go)
Highway Child
Still A Fool

If only Abcko could get it together and release an anthology-style CD box!!

It is a crime against common sense that The BBC recordings are no yet available officially in a nice box of their own. They are important recordings in their own terms and a nice add to the early Brian Jones-era Stones.

Agreed! A CD box with the complete BBC recordings would be awesome!

Then Abcko could release a box set with all studio outtakes/demos/alternates...

I would also add Diddley Daddy from the Bright Lights Big City sessions to rootsman's list.

I've always particularly liked their version of Arthur Alexander's 'Go Home Girl'.

Can´t say I agree...
I mostly prefer the rougher/tougher/heavier tracks.
Their two Arthur Alexander covers sounds too much like "dansbands-schlager", as we say here in Sweden... (and that goes for Under The Boardwalk, too!)

Will we ever get a Decca-years anthology?

If You Need Me from the july 17th 1964 Joe Loss show, and the january 1967 Palladium performance
(i know the Palladium gig was sung to playback, but that "alternate" It's All Over Now" is hot anyway!)

Yes, absolutely. "It's All Over Now" from the Palladium gig stands out because it is such a radically different arrangement, two years later - 1969 - more radically different live versions appeared like Stray Cat Blues, Love In Vain, Sympathy For The Devil and some Hyde Park tracks like Down Home Girl etc. But the Palladium gig was playback, and this always made me think that this alternate It's All Over Now from 1967 must still exist somewhere in whoevers vaults in pristine audio quality.

Here's an alphabetical list of all the (completed) songs mentioned:

Ain't that lovin' you baby
Andrew´s Blues (@#$%&´ Andrew)
Beautiful Delilah
Blood Red Wine
Brian´s Blues (Stewed And Keefed)
Bright Lights, Big City
Cops And Robbers
Crackin’ Up
Diddley Daddy
Do You Think I Really Care
Down In The Bottom
Fanny Mae
Get Yourself Together
Go Home Girl
Goodbye Girl
High Heel Sneakers
Highway Child
Honey What´s Wrong
It Should Be You
Key To The Highway
Leave Me Alone
Looking Tired
Memphis Tennessee
My Only Girl
Pay Your Dues
Reelin’ And Rockin’
Road Runner
Roll Over Beethoven
Spector And Pitney Came Too
Still A Fool
Stuck Out All Alone (Give Me A Hamburger To Go)
Tell me Baby How Many Times
Title 15 ("Satanic" rock track)
Tried to Talk Her Into It
We Were Falling In Love

Many of them are worthwhile being released. My favourites are Tell me baby and High heel sneakers but no track of the IBC demos and the Chess recordings is bad. Early Stones at their best!
