Simply Wonderful. Thanks for noting out the old thread. I never been quite happy with the original 'muddy' mix of SOME GIRLS album, and this sounds clearly superior.

I remember an interview with Keith about this promo mix. (don´t know where, but it was in 1978 or 1979)
As I recall it, he said they didn´t have time enough to mix it properly for "Some Girls"; and that´s why this 7" was done.
And superior it is!!

Was it a CD promo or 7" only?

Promo-CD in 1978??? It was a US-7".

Too bad I missed the link too...
Some Girls has enough alternates to deserve a real deluxe edition, with a 2nd CD including the 8-track versions, and promo versions, the long Miss You etc...
Not even talking about "new" unreleased songs from the recording sessions !

Exactly! They could 'exiled' it, and add a bonus DVD of footage from 1978 tour... or at least release HANDSOME GIRLS officially...

I think, if any Stones album was to ever be remixed, that Bob Clearmountain should do it. In fact, he should do everything. His mixes are incredible.
