What Beatles remasters are you getting. I'm just getting a couple, one being Yesterday & Today. I don't need the box set.

Get both stereo and mono box sets from nowtorrent for free. Lossless FLAC and superb sounding. Same quality as the store bought CDs. Mono set sounds amazing. Wish they would release the early Stones in mono. Or have they done that ? I dont believe so.

That is just plain respectless. Taking money from bands is just wrong. I hope to get the stereo box, mono box or the rock band game for my birthday. Not downloaded, but in it's full glory released form.

I don't mean to sound impatient, but do you not have a clue?

I'm drinking a delicious Coca-Cola. And it's my favourite flavour, cherry red. Yesterday And Today has not been remastered. It has never been remastered. It has never been released on CD, and has been out of print for over 20 years. It's a great album, but it wasn't even included in the Capitol Records box sets of American Beatles albums that were released a few years ago.

I did exactly that.

One letdown: Vol. 2 of the original "Past Masters" had the single version of "Let It Be" and it is not to be found in the Mono Box--so there's one argument for the Stereo Box.

I recommend you picking up the stereo White Album. It really sounds fantastic. If I could only have one new remastered album, that would be the one.

None.

I just put aside the cost of both box sets and I'll convert the money into Stones concert tix, so it means that I have now enough doe for 3 concerts.

I might get Abbey Road since I don't have it on the original issue. If it sounds good, then I might get a couple of the early albums (Please Please Me, With the Beatles).
What I dislike about the remasters already is the fact that on the early albums (Please Please Me, With the Beatles, etc) that the Mono was not issued on the same cd. Both of those albums ran less than 30 minutes, leaving plenty of room for the mono version. Outtakes aren't necessary because of the anthology's. Oh well they gotta make a buck somehow.

What I paid for one ticket at their Forum show on the last tour cost at least as much as three box sets...and add another three for my wife's ticket.

But that's OT.

I haven't given a proper listen to the Abbey Road disc, but last night in the car they played "Golden Slumbers" on the radio. The bass at the beginning was maybe a little too enhanced...it almost became the dominant instrument.

But I have no complaints about the White Album. The separation of the drums and the handclaps at the beginning of "Why Don't We Do It In The Road?" puts you in the middle of the recording studio...and makes what is essentially a trifle a revelation.

I can sympathise with that. With the exception of the White Album and Abbey Road (the latter of which wasnt mixed in mono anyway), every Beatles studio album contains enough room to have included both the mono and stereo versions without the need for any extra discs

Yes they could have so easily doubled up on the Stereo/Mono ( why did they on some of them ? )

The packaging on the Monos is excelent, as you would expect from Japan, Obi Strip ( but without the strip itself) syle replicas with original inner sleeves & inserts,

I too am miffed with the marketing as i repeatadly said "CYNICAL" the redeeming factor is the darn quality.

I wouldnt be surprised if next crimbo we get an EXTENDED RE-MASTERED Blue and Red release.

The 4 CD set i did many years ago has 109 tracks. and not a duffer.

My extended Rolled Gold is still a favourite in Mrs Phleghm's car.
