But they have not exactly set the charts on fire - for the first week worldwide, they have only sold 35.400 copies, while Whitney Houston's comeback has managed 433.200 - strange world

I think they're very much a niche market these days, and I'm surprised to hear that they already don't care about sales and chart positions and would rather hone their live shows, which is obviously where the $ is, but it sounds an awful lot like another band..............
Wish I was going to see them tonight in Kingston, NY!

Wisertime, thanks so very much for that info! Much obliged. That's a great starting point and reference for me. Is there also a list for all of their 2007-present releases as well? I was on their website earlier today and see that a lot of the 2008 shows are available, allbeit far more expensive than the price I've found a lot of the older ones for now.
thanks again!

Thanks Wisertime for the info on LiveBlackCrowes , some interesting stuff on there.
A question for all you Georgia residents ,My Ex Wife's sister used to live in Alpharetta, nice enough suburb of Atlanta , but it struck me as just a small mainly residential area , I noticed that The Black Crowes played there on 05 October 2006.
Has the area got more facilities and presumably more population these days , it just never accured to me when I visited in 2001 that it would be somewhere you could go watch a well known band , seemed far too quiet even middle class.

How are the downloads working? I have a friend who is on her 3rd code for it, and she has a much faster internet connection than I do, so I haven't even bothered to try mine yet.

I can't remember what song it is, it's towards the end of the album, it's just...everyone thought it was very un-Black Crowes.
As in bad. Very pop. Not rock. They certainly stretched out for this album. It's just not very good I think. Not so focused. It sounds like another band we know of that are just doing it to do it.

How'd your friend get a new code? I f'd mine up last night trying to download it, and now it won't let me try again.

so, finally got around to listening to the first disc the other day - i must say that after all this hype, i expected more. maybe i wasn't in the right mood or something...but the songs, although executed well, seemed rote and uninspired....
i'll give it another try and move onto the second disc later....

Disc, as in CD, right? Not the album version, because the tracklist in the album format IS a very different feel than the Before The Frost tracklisting that is the first CD.......I can't believe anyone wouldn't love that album as it is, but to each their own.....
I get bashed here for my love of Bon Jovi and my inability to see what anyone sees in Bob Dylan, so wtf do I know?!?!
