For me it is Sympathy and Wild Horses. The latter especially - Mick's notorious for over-emoting on ballads (See Already Over Me), but on WH he sounds earnest and real.

No they shouldn't. Mick's vocals MAKE that song and his singing today wouldn't cut it.

..Let It Loose is his greatest vocal ever. He registers just about every key he can reach and convincingly so.

I particularly like the way he sings

"and I don't think I can wait - that long" on Sister Morphine.

I think Let it loose is an impressive attempt from Jagger at doing something he will never really be able to do: be a soul singer. He does well, but somehow it feels a bit forced to me. The second half of the song sounds like someone trying to display more power than he really has.

For me, Jagger is especially great at sing/talking; the middle section of Beast of Burden for instance, or the awesome rendition of Cops and Robbers. But my vote goes to Think I'm going Mad. "You ought to see my shakin' hands, can't hold a drink, grad a cup of coffee" - amazing instinctive swing, completly natural and unforced. Jagger's jazziest singing; transcribe every note on trumpet and it would be a fabulous solo.

Some great choices here--hard not to agree with Let It Loose.

I'd like to add two more: Moonlight Mile and Worried About You, simply because he covers so much ground in both these tracks. One measure for me is that I can't imagine anyone else covering these songs (at the vocal level) and getting out of them what Mick does.

I wouldn't say it's the best but Memory Hotel? And definitely Shine A Light up there

Funny most of his best vocals are all ballads/slow songs. I guess more emotion comes through.

Close second the rap part in Miss You
