im not sure is "steel wheels" late era or is it just 80's era(time of coca cola and miami vice).
Late era starts for me from voodoo lounge.

Throug&Trough
(i go wild?)

Saint of Me
Already over me
always suffering
(you dont have to mean it?)

Rough justice
Laugh i nearly died

Assuming the late era starts with Steel Wheels

Slipping Away
The Worst
Terrifying
Out of Control
How can I stop
Might As well get juiced
Back of my hand

I could throw all the Keith's tracks except Infamy which sucks

I'd also go for "Laugh, I Nearly Died".

I'd have to go with these

Almost Hear You Sign
Terrifying
Break the Spell
Brand New Car
Thru and Thru
Moon is Up
Jump on top of me
Out Of Control
Flip the Switch
Gunface
You Don't Have to Mean It
How Can I Stop
Let Me Down Slow
Back Of My Hand

Mean Disposition, Almost Hear You Sigh, This Place Is Empty, Out of Control (for it's live versions), Slipping Away, Laugh I Nearly Died.

Actually, I have just made a Spotify playlist called Rolling Stones Best 1982 - .

It also consist Paint It Black from Flashpoint, since I think that is the way it would sound if they recorded it today, also Beast of Burden from Rarities, since it is released after 1982 I think I am on the green side. And Shine a Light, Like a Rolling Stone (Stripped), CYHMK and Worried About You (Live Licks), Faraway Eyes and All Down The Line (SAL),

If you'll like you can download the playlist here: [open.spotify.com]

Cheers

Back Of My Hand would have sounded great on any of their records from any era.

Rough Justice is a good rocker, though the lyrics a a little lazily written, seems too quickly put together.

Continental Drift was such a change.

In my oppinion, all those albums from Steel Wheels on are underrated. All of these albums have brialliant material - Terrifying on Steel Wheels, You Got Me Rocking on Voodoo Lounge (although it's played to death live), Out Of Control on Bridges To Bablyon or Rough Justice on Bigger Bang...just to name my favourites. What a pitty they stopped playing Sad Sad Sad, Mixed Emotions or Terrifying after Steel Wheels-tour, I Go Wild or Love Is Strong after Voodoo-tour and Saint Of Me or Out Of Control after Bridges-tour (let's forget the rarely gigs when they played some of them one tour later). Hope the next tour will have some more material from post.1989-era (without You Got Me Rocking or Slipping Away).

Per album...

Rocker - Sad Sad Sad
Ballad - Almost Hear You Sigh

Love Is Strong
Out Of Tears

Flip The Switch

Rough Justice
Laugh, I Nearly Died

Fuucking hell, it's all fist tracks for the rockers!
