She Said Yeah!

One of the best, and somewhat forgotten these days, bangers in rock history. Rock and rhythm and blues at it's best. Originally done by Larry Williams (of Bony Maronie and Dizzy Miss Lizzy Fame) most if not all of you know the Stones did a rollicking version in the early 60's. Paul McCartney also did his own impassioned cover on his underrated 'Run Devil Run' album in 1999. They're all great, but you can't top the original! Rock and roll doesn't get much better smiling smiley

Fantastic!

I love this version - fast and punky as hell - and that's before they called it punk rock!

Great aggressive guitar-sound!
She Said Yeah was the lead track of a Swedish 1965 EP, and one of my favourites from that year.
(Others are: The Last Time, Play With Fire, I´m Moving On, I´m Alright, Mercy Mercy, That´s How Strong My Love Is, The Under Assistant, Satisfaction, Cry To Me, Get Off Of My Cloud, Talkin´´Bout You, I´m Free - quite a good year...)

She said yeah was one of those 60's tunes like Poison Ivy and many others that was done by nearly every band.

But personally I like the Stones' version best!
Plus that Out of our heads opening triumvirat She saidYeah, Mercy mercy and Hitch Hike was just great!

She said yeah shows what made the early Stones so great and special!

It's been an outburst of raw energy! Love it!
