Yeah, I'm sure Bush is losing sleep over Bono not liking him.

and also the other important stat of all original members

You bring this point up repeatedly Melillo and while I think you bring a lot to this forum I think I may speak for more than just myself when I say I honestly think you are the only one who gives one iota about this fact that they have all their original members. The sixties were a different time than the eightees. Lots of drug/alchohol related deaths. I think it only matters in an extreme case when a band has only one or maybe two original members left. If a band has been around for forty plus years and has three of the five original members then that it fine with me.

frank i just think its a heck of an accomplishment thats all, its a very difficult thing to pull off, and lets not forget u2 are no spring chickens they formed in 76, so they put in some time also

Well, actually, it is a pretty impressive thing to achieve as a band - retaining original members that are the core of a group's sound and breaking new ground (or not), continuing on, etc... There really aren't that many bands with such world wide success that have done that. Are there? I know there are a lot of bands with world wide success that have done it with new/different/additional members...

We could name plenty of them - Metallica, The Rolling Stones, The Cult, Def Leppard, Lynrd Skynrd, Drive-By Truckers, Guns'N'Roses, The Who...etc...

Curious about these numbers.Hampden Park holds 50,670 in the stands alone. Assuming all of the seats were sold plus the field the attendance should have been alot higher. Were all of the seats sold?
