Hi TomR - there will be plenty of pubs with Live bands playing around town, depending on what sorta music you're after - here are a couple of gigs which both happen to be on the same night, 5th August -

Shepherds Bush Empire : Jack Bruce, Robin Trower & Gary Husband
Half Moon Putney : Wild Willie Barrett

Worth buying 'Time Out' magazine for full listings of anything and everything that is happening whilst you are here.
