I've reset using My Control Center - I get the old 'classic' design ok for 'Tell Me', but it refuses to change for 'Hot Stuff'. Sorry, but I think the new design is just awful and not very easy to read at all...

I use Firefox 3.1 and the Classic design does not have the original graphics.

I managed to get it back to the proper view by;

1. Selecting Classic in My Control Center (left with horrible view)
2. Logging out of IORR (goes back to green)
3. Deleting all temporary internet files & cookies
4. This still done nothing so i restarted my pc and now its back to normal!!

hope that helps!

p.s. there are some minor tweaks here and there, but the old view is back on all the boards Hot Stuff, Tell Me

Did all of the above and it's still a mess.

I am not a computer wiz so my question is this; do we all have to do this to get back to the old board? Is BV just experimenting and will he restore the board to the way it was if we say we don't like it this way?

One final trick i like to use on problems like this is to reach into my toolbox and pull out the largest hammer i can find. Now repeatedly "persuade" the pc into showing the proper IORR.

This is terrible.

I think a better approach to introducing this new Forum Design would have been an official announcement by bv using the Sticky post. The Classic design should have been kept as the default setting and the current design designated as a new option.

To me the old one was more enjoyable and much more pleasing to the eyes!

After reading all the chaos, I tried changing it to classic, logging in and out and back in but to no avail...

Then all I did was close out the internet, and reopen...went back to IORR, and it's back to the good old days.
No need to mess with "cookies", etc.

SWEETCHARMEDLIFE, you are very observant! I'm using Debra instead of MICKSCHIX because I signed off by mistake and could only find a slip of paper with the old name and password. How do I get MICKSCHIX back? By signing off again and renaming?

Glad you got it sorted easily. However it may not be that simple for everyone - closing the internet made no difference at all for me. It was only after restarting the PC that i got the good old IORR back.

I posted all the steps i took just in case it was a combination of/ or any one one of the steps taken.

when I go to classic view it's not the old view from IORR. Its actually harder to read than the New version.

I tried all that - to no avail. at least with firefox 3.0.10
IE 8 does it in compatability mode, but that's another PITA.

I hope this gets sorted out soon, because the site is nearly unusable for me. sad smiley

I like it. Maybe not the green text (Should be plain black), but it looks way cool to me. I'm not changing back. I like the idea that you can choose for yourself, how IORR looks. That's a nice move BV. thumbs up

It's cleaner, easier on the eye and looks way more contemporary! Just as long as its as fast...how does it interact with mobile devices though?

Well I've logged in, logged out and logged in again and I still can't see any changes!
It still looks the same as it did yesterday, last week and last year!
Is it only me that isn't affected?

Yeah should have pointed out that i use IE 7 & XP. Never liked Firefox & removed IE 8 about 5mins after I downloaded it.

I agree though that the "new" classic view is completely unusable for those suffering.

I think it's great.

Time for a change, I say....the old look was getting a bit stale. Hopefully BV sticks with it and eventually everyone will get used to it...
