RIP THE QUEEN OF HE BLUES!

Wow one heavy hippy mamma that shake shimmy just like a hard boiled egg! She was the raw edge to my youth growing up in DETROIT. She came every year two or three times to the Soup Kitchen, Rick's Cafe (AA!), and Clutch Cargos! YEah would shimmy and sweat, skinny white boy believing in god for the first time. The blues ran through here like heavy grade oil, with a shimmer of gold from her delta mouth. She was so black the oil light went off in her car!! BELTING AND PREACHING, would bring tears to my eyes revelating!!!!
Wang Dang Doodle gut bucket punk blues like nobodiy's business. Finally saw her in Chicago, Buddy's Legends, the boy came out and laid the funky groove for Wang Dang. RIP TO THE QUEEN OF THE BLUES!

A real Chicago icon. She was beloved, and her enthusiasm for the blues medium was unsurpassed. She could really belt it out. There aren't many of the old guys left. Enjoy them while you can as they are/were a gift to us. Meanwhile their craft lives on with the recordings.
RIP Koko.

What a shame. She was truly one of the greats.

Yet another person goes that I never got the chance to see.

So sad, I saw her a few times here in Toronto, a kindhearted lady of the blues.

Too soon gone: RIP.

Do yourself a favor and listen to "A night with the Queen Live"
She would would make these so called super star singers run under a
table and hide. She was a real super star plus she had a real tight band.
Rest in peace Koko.
