I've heard about the way people drive in Ohio but they've got nothing on Mississippi and Alabama - especially Alabama. For some reason in LA people like to drive below the speed limit in the passing (fast) lane.

Same with MS.

That's true idiotism.

Oh but there is a special kind of idiota in Louisiana - the kind of people who stop at an intersection when there is no stop sign. It's AMAZING.

How about those people who blow their horn in every post; useless facts and lists thrown about; grammatical corrections to dazzle.

I have read some Dan Brown books, I really like them. Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons, Digital Fortress. Also Charles Darwins The Origin Of Species,The Conquest of Gaul-Julius Caesar,Nostradamus-The Complete Prophecies, Great Speeches Of Native Americans, Black Elk Speaks,The Mayan Prophecies For 2012, The Book Of Enoch, The Gods Of Eden,Ghost Worlds, Faithfull, and lots of others that I can't remember.

If you have never read Black Elk Speaks, do yourself a favor and get that book. It is fantastic.

I thought Angels and Demons was a better Robert Langdon book than The Da Vinci Code. It had a faster pace. Plus those Illuminati ambigrams were pretty cool.

The Origin of Species? Evolutionist much? This board would go crazy over a Religion vs. Evolution debate.

Nostradamus is a quack lol. And isn't 2012 just the start of a new Mayan cycle or something like that?

I like both of the books with Langdon. The Darwin book was something I've always wanted to read. The dude needed an editor, though. One sentence seemed to go on for two pages. He dedicated two or three chapters to pidgeons. I don't agree with evolution, as far as humans are concerned. He doesn't really go into the whole missing link theory, anyway.

I can read a book and not agree with it. Late last year I read the Satanic Bible by Anton LaVey. The dude was a total idiot, but also a genius, as he sold a lame theory to MANY losers.

As for the Mayan's, they do believe 2012 is the start of a new age, "a painful change", as they say.

Have you heard of the new Robert Langdon book coming out in September? It's called The Lost Symbol. No one knows what it's about, but they suspect it has to do with the Freemasons. It's already on the Top 10 bestseller list on Amazon.com.

Yes, its going to deal with the Freemasons, and its also the first Langdon book set in America-Washington, DC. Should be a great one. This is an interesting topic to me since both of my Grandfathers were Masons.

There's gonna be a lot of Robert Lagdon tours here in America. It's where people follow the same path he takes in the books. They already do it in Europe for the other books.

I thought Langdons new novel on the way, "The Lost Symbol" was about Prince.

I feel yer pain akgameboy. I lived in Albany, Georgia for 6 years which was about 5 and 3/4 years too many. Mind you, I met some really nice people there and some of the biggest redneck @#$%& in Christendom as well. Coming to California 30 years ago was very much like coming through the Pearly Gates after that. Hope you can get out soon...

Yeah, it's a funny thing. I was born in Valodsta, GA. But at the age of 7 I moved to Alaska. Around 11, I moved to Oahu, Hawaii. Then at 13 I moved yet again to Las Vegas, Nevada. At the age of 16 I moved back to Valdosta, GA and I've hated it ever since. I loved Vegas, Hawaii, and even Alaska, but I honestly cannot wait to get out of Georiga and go back to paradise (aka Hawaii). Stupid military always making me move...

The shoe that fits: I have always been amused by the so called enlightened ones who put down a regional group of people because they happen not to share the same values or social mores. It is one thing to disagree philosophically with a group - be it the religious right, far left, gays, blacks, - you pick your special interest group. However, when the discussion erodes into name calling (rednecks, qu#$%^rs, N-word, etc.) one bigot is no different than the others. The same people who would never think of uttering the N-word, fag, and other such derogatory terms, have no problem slinging "redneck" around. What happened to tolerance for those you disagree with?

Then there are those idiots that, when the car in front of them is turning and they are not? They turn the same blinker on. I've never understood that one.

Right on Shawn20. I used to like Mountain Dew, but now I guess some guy named GameBoy doesn't like that. So now I'll drink even more.

The people down here call THEMSELVES redneck. They listen to Jeff Foxworthy talk about being redneck and they think it's the funniest thing ever. I can show you myspace pages where people I know have right on their page: "I'm proud to be a redneck" or "I'm proud to be a Georgia redneck". If it's such a derogatory, negative term, then why do they take pride in being called it?
Also: I drink Mountain Dew too if I'm in the mood. It's just that the people I know all drink it because everyone else drinks it. They don't even like it, they just want to be like everybody else. Yeah, they look real cool drinking Mountain Dew all 365 days of the year. What a way to "impress" their friends.
