JUst heard this as a flash BREAKING NEWS on CNN USA. Jackson is now stuffing/moving many of his July/09 dates into March/2010 dates. An accurate list should be up somewhere in a moment. He's also pushing back his opening nights and shows by a few dates......

WOW, IMHO this guy is just a mess - he probably has "Fear of Performing" or something, don't waste your money on this dude, I PREDICT a total no show - all of them.......SORRY, it happens

I know that Michael has been "rehearsing" in LA but my impression from sources who were there and are much younger was than Michael is ultimately were, are, depressed, that he is not what he used to be.

Sad that so many people with tickets have to be disappointed.

Jackson delays opening tour dates
Pop star Michael Jackson has delayed the opening four nights of his This Is It UK tour at London's O2 arena.

Concert promoters AEG Live said the delay was necessary because the singer needed more time for dress rehearsals.

The first show, on 8 July, has been pushed back by five nights. Three other July dates will not take place until March 2010.

Fans, who were told of the rescheduled dates in an email, have reacted with a mixture of anger and support.

"What difference is a week going to make in the grand scheme of things?" wrote Pam A on a Michael Jackson messageboard.

"I had plane tickets booked from Canada," wrote a fan calling themselves janmic.

"I'm supposed to be returning home on July 9th. I am really not impressed."

The affected dates are as follows:


8 July - moved to 13 July, 2009
10 July - moved to 1 March, 2010
12 July - moved to 3 March, 2010
14 July - moved to 6 March, 2010



President of AEG Live, Randy Phillips, said the delay had been prompted by Jackson and his creative director, Kenny Ortega.

"Kenny and Michael are, at the same time, both creative pioneers and perfectionists," said Phillips in a statement.

"This show has grown in size and scope, thereby necessitating more lead time for manufacture of the set, programming the content for the massive video elements, and, most importantly, more time for full production and dress rehearsals.

Ortega, who worked on two of Jackson's previous tours and directed all three High School Musical films, apologised to fans.

"I know what the fans expect and myself and the team want to deliver a flawless production.

"We apologise to all disappointed Michael Jackson fans and remain extremely dedicated and focused on creating an exceptional live music experience."

In an email to fans, Ticketmaster and AEG Live said: "We wanted to ensure that all of Michael's fans attending the concerts get the same quality in staging and level of entertainment."

"It is AEG Live's sincere hope that those lucky enough to have purchased tickets will have enough time to change their personal schedules and travel plans if they are coming from outside of London.

Full refunds are also being offered to those who cannot make the re-arranged concerts.

In March, tickets for Jackson's 50-date residency at the O2 completely sold out.

Hundreds of fans queued at the venue as tickets went on sale to the public and over a quarter of a million people queued online.

Around 750,000 fans have bought tickets to see the veteran pop star.

NAW BB, just a modern gent doing his bizzy work on the computer (and sometimes Not) as he has CNN or MSNBC on in the background almost always. Jackson's out of touch big time, I used to have a good friend (Richard C.- he's listed in the CD booklet - recording Engineer - 1 of 5 or something - on DANGEROUS) and at that time Jackson was a pretty normal guy that joked around a lot - used to tease Richard about his control freak GF Paula who was working for David Lynch at the time - TWIN PEAKS (she needed to buy a sense of humour).

Now, these days, if you ask Richard about Jackson he just gets sad looking and shake his head. Jackson's lost it, Richard knows it. Those pedifile court hearings made him snap, the magic is over, the man has lost his mojo. 2 tid bits. Richard used to say all the time that Jackson was the most "alone" person he ever knew. I got to know RC about 20 % into the making of the DANGEROUS CD, by then they already had about 5 mixed, finished, discs - there was so much that was left off DANGEROUS that it's mind boggling - albums and albums worth .......It's a crazy world, I wouldn't risk it.....

At one time the man was amazing. It's VERY hard to get older as a musician these days, witness Madonna, U2, Jackson. Jackson needs some very specific counseling but due to too many reasons will not get it. I think this thing is gonna be a disaster - too bad for all money that will be lost by super loyal, super trusting fans......

Not to mention that it's already been two or three months since the dates were announced.

As usual with these things, its a bullshit excuse which totally disregards the inconvenience to fans who have had to fork out for non refundable flights etc and who may not be able to get to rearranged dates.

My daughters (19 and 13) didn't recognise him from his Jackson 5 days.
The real tragedy is that such a good looking young man should do that to himself.
Something really isn't right there, I fear that he's damaged beyond repair.
And not just physically.

It started coming apart when his hair caught on fire during a performance rehearsal. Do we have that on video? I'm not trying to be cruel, but I really think this incident gave him some sort of PTSD. Of course, he's had issues for years.

I think it's sad, because he once had the musical world in his hands. At the time of "Thriller", he was arguably the biggest pop star in the world. It's easy to kick a man once he's down, and Michael took a catastrophic fall.
