I couldn't care less about 2012. A 50th anniversary tour is the sort of thing Cliff Richard does. Do we want the Stones to fall into that category?

Who said it was ok? It was a crummy excuse for a tour concept - even though the tour itself was very good.
Considering how little fresh material theyve recorded since then, a 50th anniversary tour would simply be a bad joke.

Like some old married couple that doesn't get along too well and never spends any time together suddenly deciding to have a big 50th wedding anniversary party.

They're certainly planning on touring in 2010.

It is my understanding from Nashville scuttlebutt that Charlie agreed to do the Bigger Bang tour on the condition that this would be the absolute last world tour. I'm not discounting that they may play special dates here and there. But another world tour? Very doubtful from what I've heard.

What, you don't wanna hear another plowed through version of Start Me Up or JJF?
